Description:
Austin Healey 1965 H-BJ8-L/28115
Very early phase II car. Purchased from original owner 4 years ago. British Motor Industry Herritage Trust certifies this as a matching numbers, and correct color car. Ice blue metalic paint, with original interior. I have all previouse owner's service records from new, plus all of my own. This is a well documented car. I've been a member of the austin Healey Club for over 20 years, and have restored six big Healeys in the past. I bought this peticular car because the original owner took such good care of it. I performed a very mild restoration on this car since I've owned it. Mechanicly, the engine compression reads, across all six cylinders, 165 lbs. The engine has never been opened up, and the transmission was built about 3 years ago. All brake parts are brand new. The original wire harness is still in palce, and all lights and curcuits work perfectly. New parts include; paint job, top, tonneau, front end rebuild, 4-72 chrome spoke wire wheels with correct size, veredstein 185-70-15 radial tires, stainless steel exhaust, derrington style steering wheel, walnut burl dash board, lucas driving lamps, spin-on oil filter with oil cooler, smith's amp gauge, new seat foam cushions, new carpets, and a 6 blade fan. This is a well sorted, and cared for car. The frame on the car is perfect. It has never been hit, and there is no rust anywhere. The underside looks as good as the topside, no easy task. All my experience restoring Healeys has gone into this car. $ 47, 500.00.
